Exports of cotton from Brazil touched US$ 40.3 million in the month of April 2014, recording a decline of 35.4 percent, compared to the same month in 2013, as per the data released by the Brazilian Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade (MDIC).
According to the MDIC data, Brazil exported 20,500 tons of cotton during the month of April this year, which is 37.5 percent less than the 32,800 tons of cotton exported during the same month last year.
