Cotton production in Togo, in tatters over the past four years, has increased by 161.3% in 2012, official sources told PANA Wednesday in Lome.
According to the sources, figures made available showed that production, which stood at 32,000 tonnes four years ago, rose to 118,000 tonnes in 2012 or an increase of 161,3%.

Mauritius Tianli Spinning Co Ltd (TSM) is expanding its activities in Belle Rive with an investment of Rs 2 billion in the expansion of its building and equipment purchases. This will enable Chinese spinning double its production capacity of wire. The extension is expected to begin in two months. Currently, the plant produces 12,000 tons of yarn per year.
