  • Photography courtesy of Louis Vuitton Paris Fashion Week came to a close for Fall 2014 yesterday with the last step strutted down the Hermès runway. With hotly anticipated designer debuts (for the record, Nicolas Ghesquiere knocked it out of the park at Louis Vuitton), celebrity-studded front rows (Rihanna made the rounds), splashy parties and a little luxe grocery shopping thrown in for good measure, it was a week filled with memorable moments. As FASHION‘s market editor, my eye is constantl
  • Nicolas Ghesquière's debut collection for Louis Vuitton was quite possibly the most anticipated show at Paris Fashion Week (if not all of Fashion Month). If you remember, Marc Jacobs left the storied label after 16 successful years as creative director. Then after a month or so of speculation, Ghesquière—the former Balenciaga creative director who brought those It Girl-favored City Bags into our lives—stepped on board. (Check out Nikki's very informative primer on the man of the hour for a refre
  • Fashion Weeks around the world bring out all sorts—but few front rows are as cute, charming, and well-dressed as the one at Miu Miu's fall 2014 Paris Fashion Week show earlier today. Check out six of our favorite stars—dressed in their Miu Miu finest—and tell us which one of their looks would you like to co-opt for your own closet! Blue Is the Warmest Color stars Adele Exarchopoulos and Lea Seydoux fronted Miu Miu's resort campaign—and the two look gorgeous in their retro-inspired tailored ja
  • Photography by Bertrand Rindoff Petroff/Getty Images Kendall Jenner/Photography by Team Peter Stigter Only Karl Lagerfeld could turn a supermarket into a destination spot. Today’s Chanel Fall 2014 show transformed Paris’s iconic Grand Palais into a full-fledged Chanel Shopping Centre, complete with rows upon rows of double-C branded canned goods, condiments and more. Given that this was a Lagerfeld-designed grocery store, the aisles were immaculately styled and featured a towering pyrami
  • There is tons of talk about fabric this season. Thick chunky knits are everywhere at Paris Fashion Week, with the knit pant quickly becoming a key piece for Fall 2014. Rich velvets in romantic shades of burgundy to soft rose have been spotted at Nina Ricci and Elie Saab. Sheer silk chiffons have revealed everything from legs and backs to arms and décolletage, and lace is cropping up in nearly every collection as a full-on feature or a just hint of sex appeal. But what are designers doing with th
  • The calendar may read March, but a check of temperature outside (well, in some unlucky parts of the country) indicates that it's pretty much still winter. Yup, it's still really freakin' cold out there. So you know what that means: more layering. But on the bright side, Paris Fashion Week is still happening—even though you may have forgotten amidst all the Oscars frenzy. So, yay! Here are five more fun outfit ideas to get you through what feels like the coldest spring EVER. Blogger Aimee So
  • Life in Paris slows over the weekend to allow for leisurely strolls and sipping coffees in corner cafés, but the shows must go on and fashion’s power players kept pace. Saturday and Sunday’s schedules included some of Paris’ most influential designers including Givenchy, Céline, Chloé and Kenzo. The city of lights’ brightest stars didn’t disappoint—here’s our update of the five hottest trends to come off the runways so far at Paris Fashion Week Fall 2014: Hot FuzzIt seems as though there hasn
  • Although it seems like the sun will never shine and flowers will never bloom, I can't help but think about what I'll be wearing (hopefully) just around the corner this spring. Being a dress fanatic, I'm always looking for ways to change things up from the standard lace, florals and pretty pastels we associate with a spring wardrobe. I'm reminded of the spring (and a few recent fall 2014) collections, and a particular recurring fashion trend that will be the ultimate transition dressing staple: t
  • C?LINE Phoebe Philo took menswear, or rather women wearing men's clothing, as inspiration for her AW14 collection. Showing 42 looks, the collection was rife with coats, but the silhouette was long and slim, with just a few cocooning or flaring at the end. Coat dresses, knitted trousers and wrapped skirts made for a look that said less-is-more, focusing on fabric and craftsmanship, rather than glamour or sexiness. The platform sandals are sure to be a big hit on the high street next season. GI
